------------ This README describes data-set of polluted cloud tracks. Additional information Heido Trofimov heidot@ut.ee Velle Toll velle.toll@ut.ee This work is funded by the Estonian Research Council personal research funding grant PSG202. ------------ DATASET ------------ "We define track days as the days when we can visually detect polluted cloud tracks on the near-infrared composite Terra Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite images. The tracks stand out in the near-infrared composite images due to elevated near-infrared reflectance due to the Twomey effect. We use National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Global Imagery Browse Services (GIBS) images where the composite of bands corresponding to wavelengths 0.459–0.479 μm, 1.628–1.652 μm, and 2.105–2.155 μm are used (MODIS channels 3, 6 and 7)."
