An online survey of museum professionals was conducted simultaneously in the three Baltic countries in 2022. The survey consisted of five parts: 1) the type of museum the respondent represents and the respondent's personal background in the context of museum work; 2) questions about the exhibition of 20th-century materials, which could be answered by those involved in exhibition work; 3) questions about the collection of 20th-century materials, which could be answered by those involved in collections; 4) questions based on memory studies to explore the respondent's views on the role of museums in society in terms of memory policy; 5) the respondent's assessment of the position of museum work in society. Respondents also had the opportunity to comment on some of the answers in free text and share their thoughts on the topic with the research team. In Estonian: Eesti Teadusagentuuri poolt rahastatud projekt PRG1097, tuntud ka kui MNEMUS, kestis viis aastat (2021–2025) ja uuring oli üks etapp analüüsiks vajalike andmete kogumise protsessis. 2022. aastal viidi kolmes Balti riigis läbi muuseumitöötajate veebiküsitlus. Küsitlus koosnes viiest osast: 1) vastaja esindatava muuseumi tüüp ja vastaja isiklik taust muuseumitöö kontekstis; 2) küsimused 20. sajandi materjalide eksponeerimise kohta, millele võisid vastata eksponeerimistöös osalejad; 3) küsimused 20. sajandi materjalide kogude kohta, millele võisid vastata kogudega seotud isikud; 4) mälestuste uuringutel põhinevad küsimused, et uurida vastaja seisukohti muuseumide rolli kohta ühiskonnas mälupoliitika seisukohast; 5) vastaja hinnang muuseumitöö positsioonile ühiskonnas. The questionnaire was programmed in LimeSurvey and consisted of three sections. The first section included socio-demographic indicators, comprised of age, gender, education, and area of residence. Age was grouped into 5-year blocks except for the 18-19 age group. The area of residence was categorised based on indicators from the Estonian Department of Statistics. The second section of the questionnaire consisted of questions related to personality. The 20 statements validated in the Estonian National Mental Health Study (Laidra et al., 2023) are part of a more extensive personality questionnaire that was previously used in personality research. This questionnaire was developed to investigate the links between personality traits and genetics (Arumäe et al., 2025). The third section contained nine items measuring the three dimensions of FWB The final part of the questionnaire included questions about the respondents’ occupation and satisfaction with their current monetary situation (income). The study was also preregistered in the Open Science Framework (https://osf.io/t9j5s) environment. The sample consists of 1007 adults aged 18-74. The participants could complete the questionnaire in either Estonian or Russian. The sample was formed according to quotas for different socio-demographic indicators that were created in line with Estonian population statistics.
