Andreas Friedrich Contact information: Marek Mooste (marek.mooste@ut.ee), Kaido Tammeveski (kaido.tammeveski@ut.ee) Institute of Chemistry University of Tartu Ravila 14a 50411 Tartu Estonia This dataset contains the data presented in the figures of published paper "Binary transition metal and nitrogen functionalised silicon oxycarbide electrocatalysts for zn–air battery air electrode application" International Journal of Energy Research 2025 252866 (https://doi.org/10.1155/er/4252866). The electrochemical characterisation data, which was measured in University of Tartu Institute of Chemistry, is for Figures 5, 6, 7, 8 and the nomenclature of the catalysts is the same as in the mentioned article. Data was collected using Autolab potentiostat/galvanostat PGSTAT30 (Metrohm Autolab, The Netherlands) controlled with NOVA version 2.1.4 software. An in-house built device was used to study the catalysts performance and stability in Zn-air battery conditions. For Figures 5, 6, 7, 8 electrochemical data, the currents have been converted from current (A) to current densities (mA/cm2). For Figures 5, 6a the background currents, measured in Ar-saturated solution, have been subtracted from the RDE curves recorded at the potential values lower than 1.0 V vs. RHE, in addition to conversion to current densities. For Figure 8 electrochemial data, the time (s) has been converted to time (h). Licence: This dataset is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
