**** Framework for Security Level Evaluation (F4SLE) E-ITS based ver 2021-1 **** Author: Mari Seeba Corresponding author: Mari Seeba Contact information: mari.seeba@ut.ee University of Tartu Institute of computer Science Narva mnt 18 Tartu ESTONIA ***** *** General Introduction *** F4SLE provides the institutions with E-ITS-based (Estonian Information Security Standard see https://eits.ria.ee/) repeatable and comparable results for evaluating the performance of information security management, both for self-assessment and monitoring in the various stages of the organisation's information security management life cycle. Dataset contains two files (same content different language): F4SLE_EN_ver2021_1.xlsx English version F4SLE_ET_ver2021_1.xlsx Estonian version Both files base on E-ITS 2021 version. Previous version of F4SLE is available: DOI: 10.23673/re-298 Method how the F4SLE was designed is described in DOI: 10.1007/978-3-031-05760-1_39 The F4SLE is designed to evaluate the security level of the organisations' or business processes based on the Estonian Information security standard. The evaluation process does not require presumptions or specific knowledge about the standard. It could require security and IT vocabulary. Suggested valuable source for vocabulary is akit.cyber.ee. *** Usage *** The Excel files are ready to use. An introduction for use is included in the file's first sheet. The first sheet is filled with answers to attributes. The second sheet automatically provides preliminary results calculations and a spider-type diagram, and the text characterises the security level based on the value intervals. The F4SLE was used to gather data, and the profound calculations were done separately. Data from the third sheet were used for security evaluation calculations. This third sheet automatically copies only the answers from the first sheet. This calculation data is not included because of organisations' security data confidentiality requirements. The evaluation results were shared only privately. F4SLE content is free to use following the CC-BY-NC principles. For any other cases, contact the corresponding author.
